I have now started module two of my language course! I am so pleased we have not been delayed as I feel I am progressing quite well at the moment. I have been writing a letter to Konditorei’s in my local area, they should be finished by the end of today so I will post them tomorrow… I will let you know if anything comes of it. I really hope it does… if not I will have to wait for the next in take which is January!

I recently came across The Little Library Cafe. I instantly became quite excited over this website as it combines my two favourite past times – cooking and reading. After having a flick through I was even more excited to discover recipes from my new favourite book Chocolat by Joanne Harris. After a quick dash to the supermarket I made a batch of Mendiants.

The boy doesn’t like nuts at all so my version were raisins, orange zest and a dusting of cinnamon and ginger. They were absolutely delicious and so easy to make!

If you love books, baking or both I would definitely go and look at this website!
