The Food Exchange – Pound Cakes

After a 6 month break Greta and I are back with a new Food Exchange. I find it very strange that when we started this back in July 2015 we had both fairly recently moved to new countries. Almost three years later we are both settled in our new homes and both now have children!

I always look forward to doing the Food Exchange with Greta as it always makes me bake things I wouldn’t normally bake.

This month Greta suggested the theme pound cakes and got me to make Schwarzwälder- Kirsch Gügelhupf. I had a quick look on the internet and found that it is a Black Forest gateau meets marble cake baked in a bundt tin!

The recipe was really easy to make (I managed to do it while Noah was napping). I do like a normal marble cake but the added cherries and chocolate icing made it taste even better! I would definitely recommend making this cake and will be baking it again.

I am so glad to be back and can’t wait for next month! If you have any suggestions for our theme please let us know!

Make sure you head over to Greta’s blog and check out her pound cake!
