It is my Nan’s birthday in April and I always struggle with what to buy her! This year I have decided to make her two chocolate slabs. I am hoping they will survive the trip back to England!
I have wanted to make something like this for a while and this felt like the perfect excuse. They were incredibly easy to make, so I will definitely be making them again! I am hoping to come up with a few different flavour combinations. If you have any suggestions please let me know!

Chocolate Slab recipe
100g milk chocolate
1 Diam Bar, broken in to small pieces
100g dark chocolate
60g almonds, in slivers
Break up the chocolate and place in to a microwavable bowl. Heat in 30 second bursts until 3/4 of the chocolate has melted. At this point stir the chocolate fairly quickly until all of the chocolate has melted.
Next add either the nuts or the broken Diam bar and mix until they are evenly distributed.
Pour on to a baking tray lined with baking paper and leave to set.
Once the bar is completely set break in to smaller pieces.
