Hello lovely readers!
Sorry I have been so quite for the last month! I have just come back from a lovely week back in England with my family and my friends came over for a few days which has been nice! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a few photos of what I have been up to!
In my last blog update I was telling you all about our little holiday to the black forest and my first week in my apprenticeship. A lot has happened since then!
I won’t go in to too much detail but after 5 weeks in my apprenticeship position I decided to leave. As much as I liked the people and enjoyed the work I was finding getting up at 1.30am 4 days a week too hard and it was starting to have an effect on me.
After I left I had a week in Germany catching up with some of my friends from my language course and sorting a few things out before heading back to England to surprise my family for the week!
They had no idea I was coming so when I walked in to the lounge they were all fairly surprised! This time I travelled my train to Brussels, stopped in Brussels to have a look round for a few hours and then headed back to England on the Eurostar! I always find the Eurostar such a nice way to travel!
While in Brussels I was amazed by the amount of chocolate shops and sweet shops. I visited this beautiful Chocolatier called Elisabeth. They had another shop a few doors down, the windows were filled with huge decorated meringues! You can have a look at their website and their beautiful products here.
I had a very lazy week of seeing friends and family, eating out and going to the coast (something I really miss about living in Germany!).
We have had two of our friends over for the last few days. I always enjoy people coming over as you get to visit places you wouldn’t necessarily go to.
So back to my apprenticeship. Although I have left I am still attending school once a week in the hope of finding another placement soon! I haven’t given up the dream of becoming a pastry chef just yet! I am currently busy going to meetings at the job centre and Chamber of Crafts to find a new position. I will let you know if anything happens!
I am also going to make an effort to post to Lucya Bakes more regularly! I didn’t realise how much I enjoyed doing it until I didn’t have the time!
Follow me on Instagram to see what I am up to!

Thank you! I am fairly positive I will work something out, watch this space š x
What beautiful photographs. Summits, things happen for a reason. I wish you luck.
Thank you Pixieannie! I completely agree, I start a new job in a few weeks at a brilliant Patisserie, I am already excited!
