A Recipe for Chocolate Brownies

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

I have quite a lot of recipes which I am working on at the moment but aren’t quite ready to be shared yet. When I was making my Slutty Brownie Birthday Cake last week I made a batch of brownies so I could use some to decorate the cake. I thought this would also be the perfect opportunity to take some photos and share the recipe with you!

These brownies are quite rich and I use dark chocolate with milk chocolate chunks throughout. I really like the contrast of the two different types of chocolate.

I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

300g dark chocolate

220g butter, softened

3 eggs

225g brown sugar

80g plain flour

1/2 tsp of baking powder

100g milk chocolate, chopped in to small pieces

Method

Preheat the oven to 180c (fan assisted oven).

Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Once melted allow the mixture to cool slightly.

In a separate bowl beat the eggs and sugar together.

Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.

Stir in the flour, baking powder and milk chocolate until well combined.

Pour in to a lined baking tin and level the surface.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes.

Take the brownies out of the oven and leave to cool completely before cutting.

Enjoy!
